Services · Seasonal Color

The first thing people notice, designed to work all year.

What do people see first when they drive by your property? Usually the color beds, and usually a comparison to the property next door. We design, install, and rotate seasonal color for commercial grounds across metro Atlanta, so entrances and signage make the right impression every season, on a plan that fits your goals and your budget.

Curb appeal that pays

Color is the cheapest way to change how a property feels.

A fresh, well-designed color rotation does something few other landscape investments do at the same cost: it changes the first impression of the whole property, at the entrance, the monument sign, and the front beds where every visitor forms an opinion in a few seconds.

  • First impression Color beds are often the first thing a resident, shopper, or guest notices. A designed rotation makes that first impression work for you all year.
  • Designed, not dumped We plan the palette to your property and your goals, so the beds read as intentional, not a tray of whatever was on the truck that morning.
  • Water-wise options Drought-tolerant material and more perennials cut how much has to be replanted and watered each season, protecting both your budget and the region's water.
  • Rotated on plan Color is refreshed on a planned rotation as the seasons turn, so the beds are never caught looking tired between plantings.

Through the year

A color program across the Georgia seasons.

Color in our climate runs on two main rotations, a warm-season planting and a cool-season one, with the beds tended in between. Here is roughly how a color year unfolds on a property we manage.

Spring

The warm-season planting goes in

As the last frost passes, cool-season color is pulled and the warm-season rotation is installed: fresh, bright plantings that carry the property through the growing season. This is the big spring reset that sets the tone for the year.

Summer

Peak color, tended and watered

The warm-season beds hit their stride. We keep them deadheaded, weeded, and watered through the heat so they stay full and vivid when the property is busiest and most on display.

Fall

The cool-season rotation

As summer fades, the warm-season color comes out and the cool-season rotation goes in: plantings chosen to hold up through cooler weather and carry the beds through the fall and into winter.

Winter

Structure and cool-season interest

Cool-season color, evergreen structure, and clean bed lines keep the property looking cared for through the quiet months, and we plan next year's palette while the beds rest.

What a program includes

From the plan to every rotation.

A seasonal color program is more than dropping in flowers. It is a designed palette, installed and rotated on schedule, with water-wise choices built in where they serve the property.

  • A design consultation

We meet to talk through your goals: the instant impact of a bold seasonal display, or a longer plan that leans on perennials to lower the fuss and the cost over time.

  • A planned palette

A color plan chosen for your property, light, and image, coordinated across entrances, monument signs, and key beds so the whole site reads together.

  • Installation and rotation

The color installed and then rotated at the turns of the season, so the beds are refreshed on plan rather than left to fade before anyone gets to them.

  • Drought-resistant and perennial programs

Water-wise material and perennial-forward designs for properties that want strong beds with less replanting and lower water demand.

Good questions

Questions property managers ask.

How often is the color changed out?

In our climate, color is typically refreshed on two main rotations a year, a warm-season planting and a cool-season one, with the beds tended in between. The exact plan depends on your property and your goals, and we write the rotation into your program so you know what is scheduled.

Do I want the “wow” look or a lower-maintenance one?

Both are valid, and it is your call. Some properties want the instant wow of a bold seasonal display; others want a longer-term plan that uses more perennials to reduce how much color has to be replaced each season. We will lay out the trade-offs honestly and design to whichever you choose.

Can seasonal color be more water-wise?

Yes, deliberately. Atlanta's water situation means we design with drought-tolerant plant material and perennials where it fits, which reduces both the replanting and the watering a fragile all-annual bed would demand, protecting your budget and the region's resources without giving up curb appeal.

Can you add color to a property you already maintain?

Easily. Seasonal color layers right onto a management program: the same crews on your property install and rotate the beds, so there is no separate vendor to coordinate and the color stays in step with the rest of the grounds care.
